Surely insurance hinges upon the risk posed by an individual, something which is statistically-determined by taking into account the person's gender, age, postcode, job, and kind of car driven? If male and female premiums are to be equalised, surely the precedent would be set for equalising premiums between the old and young? Or for equalising premiums for travel insurance between those who are fit and healthy and those who have a serious illness. Where does it end?"
