On the German news tonight they are saying that Blair will bow out before Christmas. Is this true?

Is who still here?
Oh him..its amazing how they cling to power like limpets. It was the same with Thatcher. In the end you've got to stamp on their fingers until they finally give up and fall into the icey river below. Its a bit like trying to get rid of Rasputin...you poison him, shoot him, stab him, call him names, flick your towel at him and he STILL won't go away.
So you tie him up and drop him in the River Volga. And thats what we're doing with Mr.Blair at the moment. All political careers end in failure.

In order to get rid of someone like Blair he would have to invade another country without any proper evidence and allow dozens of Brits to be killed for no apparent reason. Well, maybe not.

On the subject of gloating at someones ill fortune:- Well at least he does know how to smile. Yesterday was perhaps an inopportune time to show the pearly whites.

Gus'n'Daz, I can assure you the cheese board is very pleasant at the moment. Still, it must be nice for you to have your very own board. Enjoy.

Well I will not say the first thing that springs to mind which is: is it because you are here, damn and bugger it I said it. Yes 'tis true, have you noticed that I am a staff member it is marvelous what a bit of promotion can do to the self esteem instead of being told "feel free to leave" every day gus

Yes Mimi but for some reason the humorous section is hidden from view whilst the serious stuff..Dominateds pleading posts on various odd subjects, and the Reiki healing/homeopathic/satanism/sadism threads are the only things to read. I want to switch on and read Exco The Irates hilariously mad rantings. For gods sake, Mimi - give us a larf!

Not goodbye, PJ, I'll hang on for a while or until I become persona non particularly grata.
I haven't discussed Natascha with the indigenous population but it's clear from newspapers and TV that everyone is immensely sympathetic to her experiences and relieved that she is safe. I admired the decent restraint shown by the media and the protective treatment she had from the authorities. She was hidden from intrusive and salacious questioning for quite a while until she emerged to give that very impressive TV interview. She came over as mature and intelligent. I noticed a newspaper headline saying she was to get a million euros (from the govt? I don't know) and I hope she will spend it on having a good time. I was surprised that she was held so long without attracting suspicions from neighbours.
