You mean he isn't British? ;D ;D Do the Scots think of themselves as British? I know they protest vehemently when they are all put in the English bag but do they protest also at being British? gus

Of course he's British but he wants the people of England to forget he his Scottish. You know who I mean. The ones who have their OWN Parliament. There are lots of people in England who see their country disappearing into regions with the help of the EU.
But oddly enough you don't hear any talk about Scotland being split up into regions and parts of it being hived off into Northern England.

I'm sorry, Sandy, but last time I checked the map, Scotland was still part of Great Britain and no amount of gibberish from you can alter that fact.

I do not have to go on national television and tell people I am British. Apparently his favourite goal was when Gascoine scored against Scotland. If you believe that bollocks you are indeed gullible.

How we see ourselves depends on context. I'm Manx, my mother is from Glasgow, her father was from Stockton-on-Tees, I live in England.
In the Six Nations I support Scotland. In the Olympics I want Great Britain to take all the medals regardless of whether they are Scottish curlers, black Welsh hurdlers or English figure skaters.
So I'm Manx, a Celt, British, European. Mostly though I'm just human.
I don't really follow football but Gascoine's goal was amazing even if he did score it against Scotland.

I agree, but Brown obviously thinks he needs to remind us he's British. That's my whole point. You'd think he would have more important things to say.
