I watched a film called 'Island' about how people were farming clones for spare parts and it made me ponder the question 'if you could have a clone made of you, would you'?
Think about it. You are getting old but want to leave part of you behind with an earlier model of yourself. Why not a clone with your individual characteristics that you could hand down? Would it be some kind of immortality?
A clone could help you in your old age, while you pass on all your personal knowledge , wisdom and experiences to them.
I'm not saying we should have them just as a spare parts but rather people who could work and earn a living.
The only snag I see is that this conflicts with my belief that there are already far too many people living on THIS island.
Clones need warming, clothing, housing and food as well. They would want to travel as well.
So maybe not such a good idea after all.
Any thoughts?

No PM I have not read never let me go. Have you? What did you think of it if you did?
I doubt if talking to a clone would be much of a problem unless you were a nattercan yourself, which I am not, Mimi.
And Daz, lay off the hari saki.

Why not save yourself the trouble and talk to the mirror, Sandy. Theres more chance of it talking back to you than you ever coming across a clone.
Lets leave that sort of nonsense with the sci-fi enthusiasts. I'll be impressed with science once they actually do something useful like cure the common cold but sadly thats way beyond their expertise.

I was of the mind that they have taken my advice and bathe in the nude so to speak, but after pondering for a while during my ablutions i wonderd if it is because now that exco has been gelded that they hope the mares will come back gus

Do tell Gus. How has exco been gelded? Why do you ask me, are you not sneaking back and forth there with a heavy disguise that was detected in around 2 seconds ;D TC I believe in his charming way wants everyone on his board to take their partners for a waltz, exco wanted to do a fiery tango and is now partnerless.I was hoping loop would put a rose in his mouth and join him, but sadly all we hear is Johann Strauss playing the Wiener Waltz. gus

I think JSG is a lot more balanced nowadays and more broad in scope. I dont want to take any plaudits but my arrival seemed to act as a spur on the behinds of Jilona and her fellow ponies.
The Cheese board has always been pretty tame but now they've opened it up its like listening to a bunch of boring old codgers from a Harry Enfield comedy.
The ludicrous Arena even had the sheer temerity and bad taste to moan about knee jerk reactions against dogs the day after a young child got savaged.
Now how do you answer an idiotic post like that without similarly calling the author likewise?

Yes, i read it last year - i didn't like it - unsettling! But my neighbour loved it.

I should give Dara this place as a birthday present next month. Theres simply no such thing as an interesting forum game. The Movie and Song game are about as interesting as it gets. I've never been on a forum which has an interesting sideline to fill in spare time.
Its needs ppl like Dara and Gus to give it momentum and I cant be bothered kickstarting it without that kind of input. So we'll see what the new year brings and maybe we;ll get some fresh ideas. Otherwise its gonna be a threadbare cupboard.
