So glad you appreciated it Gargs! I thought I was a winner with that one Alas no...the Madrigal Mind works in a way all it's own - which is why we love 'im....but this does not help us move further on with this darstedly set of clues Does the beer fest thing really help? Booze is important in this film?

No its wordplay...first the map of the Island and then Billy Connolly and his connection to beer adverts. I thought it was really simple but then I knew the answer. And I thought its the type of film Dara might know rather than Kind Heart and Coronets. Lissen it aint easy!

Trouble is I don't see many movies so if the clues refer to the plot or characters I stand no chance. So let's see. The first picture could refer to a map, or a route, path, road or even a ship The second refers to the horse rather than the hill he says but it's a white horse so it could mean unicorn or whisky The third pic is of Billy, a Scot or possibly refers to Arena. The film has something to do with alcohol but he implies that pinkmelon's guess of “Whisky Galore” (absolutely inspired pm! “Ship+White Horse+Scot=WG”. I am seriously impressed) was wrong. Well you've got me foxed. very interesting, thanks for comment. i realised right now that there is also a third pic:(

X Horsekaliber I can’t help feeling that I ought to be able to make it into something to do with “Excalibur”. But I can’t.

And there I was thinking mine was so much easier than Daz’s.
Your suggestion fro the first picture was brilliant but far too obtuse for me to have devised: I’m afraid it’s far more prosaic. After that, the second word’s pretty obvious if you know your film titles (which it’s clear you do).

And there I was thinking mine was so much easier than Daz’s. Daz's are the very devil! I thought excaliber was a sword....but apparently a horse too...you learn something new most days with Daz.

Indeed. Well done, Gargoyle. Brazil? (Jolly good film, even if it’s the wrong answer)
