Who are the 2 people Bob Geldof had killed? Err I can't recall now..his singing led to several people committing suicide including his Wife and her boyfriend, a fellow warbler with less ability to curdle milk.

Bob Geldof didn't kill Michael Hutchence. He died having a ham-shank while tied to a door. Bob Geldof didn't kill Paula Yates - it was an overdose of smack necessary to blot out the pain of the fact her boyfriend died having a ham-shank while tied to a door. Poor Bob Geldof. What did he ever do to you? The 1st Boomtown Rats album was great, but it hasn't aged well. OK, he's a twat there's no denying that, but he's no double-murderer I say!!!! Blame the lure of the ham-shank tied to a door.

Is it cockney rhyming slang? ;D
Oh no. It is, isn't it?
I thought it was Thomas Tank.
It just goes to show what a sheltered life I have had.
Thinks: 'I wonder if posh cockneys call it perturbation?'
Tied to a door? I just wonder what part the knob had in it all.

Well I was struck by the choice of words...before realising that OP has the misfortune of living in Scotland. Maybe Dara when she has a er..minute..could give us the Slovak word for the practice. ..I'm still waiting for the menu to arrive and its gone 1 pm.!

Blame the lure of the ham-shank tied to a door. Well I'm always suspicious at self appointed Saints. ..in my experience they are in reality the spawn of thee Devil himself! No, it a feeling that I get that Geldof is the very epitome of a certain type of person who somehow drains the life blood of his closest. Err..a bit like a modern day Nosferatu. Maybe he IS Nosferatu! Seriously I think that the phone call to Hutchence could have been something that was hugely negative on the recipient and that this led to further problems with his Wife and arguably children. Its a cynical and slightly err..instinctual view on my part. He's the type of person I'd give a wide berth..along with other Saintly people like Malcolm Muggeridge and Lord Longford.

I'm tidying up a few loose ends here. Now OP was completely wrong about thee blood test which only goes to prove that asking people on the Internet anything is a complete waste of time. So anyway I tentatively took the follow up blood test and was told to fast all night and all morning - which I do anyway. So you were totally wrong. Punkette! That means I've gone 24 hrs without Coffee (or tea, or alcohol)..err as far as I'm concerned water doesn't strictly qualify as 'a drink' unless you've spend several days lost in the Outback with FN or Sahara Desert. I never fully realised how much I rely on constant Caffeine Jolts to get me through the day (and thee Wine of course). I mean theres a definite craving that sets in..even after just that one day without. Still I'm not taking any chances. I've gone from 3 large spoonfuls of sugar to just one small spoon. Its bizarre but thats about the only real sugar consumption I take. All of a sudden I've become a bit jittery about it. I noticed that Mango Chutney is almost 'all' sugar whereas I just see it as an Indian flavouring. I rarely eat chocolate and I don't even snack. ..no crisps, no biscuit, no cakes..I mean I'm utterly abstemious on thee sugar front. It has to be a mistake or maybe something just ain't working right. How can you cut down on sugar when you barely have any? Its simply not fair! I shall now wait for thee recount.

Well I'm fairly hopeful.
What I wasn't aware of was that this is a Govt. initiative. As far as I'm aware quite a few people are being dragged in for blood tests. Its part of some new prevention scheme apparently. I was just about to blather on to some other poor beggar about it when he told me he'd had 'too much Iron' in his blood so he's going for another test. Apparently its an early sign of liver problems so he's got to cut out alcohol for a few days prior to the next test...which knowing him is no easy task.
Theres always someone worse off eh?
