I have watched Big Brother all summer and tonight, the final, I have been asked out for supper .

I thought Mr P might take me out for supper as a test - to see if I would give up the final for him! But no, it's the blessed book club wanting to have a bit of a get together.

I still haven't made up my mind.

Yes, she was a significant influence in turning the sound off permanently. In fact she should have been born with inbuilt volume control.

Prior to that if I'm on the computer I'm in a different room so the sound is sometimes on in case an argument breaks out and then I may go and see what its all about.

I like arguments in other words but there havent been any.

Its nice to see the winner accept the news in such a calm and collected manner.



..I thought Richard probably deserved to win on merit. I thought Aisylene (?) was probably the best woman in there after Richard although judging by the faces of some of the others - if looks could kill eh?

It just goes to show that people don't like having the limelight stolen from them and they're all essentially egotists desperately searching for some unearned stardom so thats the best part of it really..seeing the forced smiles and glassy eyes of the also-rans. And that is the end of my brief synopsis of another media franzy about not very much.

So I stayed in and had an ear and and eye on the final while continuing to work .... and missed what turned out to be a surprise birthday party ....just goes to show what a stupid idea it is to give a surprise birthday party dressed up as an extra book club meeting!

I thought it was a dull final. In their interviews Richard was ok, Glyn was ok - the others were dire. Poor Davina - Pete and Nikki were nightmare interviewees and I really wasn't interested in them.

I wonder briefly where they will end up, but only briefly.
