I don't think you need to keep everyone indoors. Just close down places where people congregate in large numbers like work, schools, universities, sporting events, pubs and restaurants and inessential shops. Yes this will have a devastating effect on business, but that is the nature of pandemics. We should not allow this to divert us from fighting it. It is a clear nonsense to pretend that cross infection is unlikely to occur in a pub or a restaurant. It will happen. It IS happening. Closing them stops it. Completely. I sort of agree with that Exco. Although I enjoy a pint on the few occasions I have been to my local in recent weeks I have not found it an enjoyable experience. I go partly to support my decent and caring landlord. My view is the ones that break the rules, and there are a few who will flout them, then one warning, then complete closure. As for sporting events, yes close them down because excited people ignore the rules. The same for shops, if they allow people to crowd in, close them.
