In contrast heres a fellow intellectual with far more verve, spontaneity and enthusiasm. Of course the negative side is a kind of boldness and rashness that rubs up people the wrong way...esp. the more sensitive watery types. Its Bernard Manning.

Thats David Bowie and he's -accordng to the prepared script - energised and enthusiastic. Its highly accurate to my eyes but then he's not your average Joe and he probably left his environment behind a long time ago and followed his instincts. It still doesnt excuse his artwork though.

Right Ken Russell is currently top of thee Fiery Person Countdown. Can he be toppled like Humpty Dumpty. Odd fact. Sandy's interested in Politics. What do you make of this...I've been through all the well known Tory politicians and EVERY darn one of them is predominantly fire. Everyone apart from John 'Super-pants' Major needless to add. He was well down the list but quite Earthy - as Edwina Currie found out (and his loyal and rather meek Wife, Norma). Top of the Fiery League WasNORMAN 'BITE YER LEGS' TEBBIT MICHAEL 'NOSFERATU' HOWARD MICHAEL HESELTINE MAGGIE THATCHER (FIRE & WATER/BRIMSTONE..a bit of an Evangelical Preacher) Maybe they need to that to be combative or argumentative. I wonder if I could publish it as research. TOP OF THE WORLD, MANorman Tebbit

He's always seemed a bit too laidback for his own good. Not a bad actor though. Idiosyncratic. Donald Sutherland. born on the day of the lord July 17th.

What about some well-known Labourites Dazz? Are they all Earthy?
-----------------------
Sutherland -- each to his own, but I dislike the bugger. Always plays the partt with a supercilious sneer and is unconvincing in most... a bit of a ham. Youy always need a bit of sympatico with an Actor ...you can't be really successful if you're dislike-able. Ian Holm's another one ... not an engaging man.

I dont know any well known Labourites. I think theres a danger of them being homogenous and tepid. I think I've done the ones re. the Astrotheme site. Galloway was by far the fieriest as I recall but its already on here somewhere. Kinnock was up there...you need people to fire the passions during some periods whereas it needs a calm head at other times. Churchill fits the bill ideally.

Mandela has amix of fire and water...which tends towards the preacher (fire) who appeals to the emotions (water) and people like Thatcher and Billy Graham have that combo. this is Billy Graham ..the more extreme the better really but how more everyday people put it into practice is open to debate. Fire and water are based on emotions whereas Air and Earth are based on reasoning and intellect.

So what's the deal here - most Politicians (of the British hue: argumentative, skoolkid gang mentality, point-scoring nobend) have thee fire-y tendency?
Notable that Nelson "Balanced and Broadminded" Mandela doesn't follow.
Gandhi?

Your being over literal..a dash of fire doesn't suggest aggression a la Ali Campbell. It can simply suggest defiance amongst other things. All I'm suggesting is to say, for example, no Fire at all would suggest a certain lack or blockage of inspiration. Such a person would be unlikely to have you standing up cheering with excitement. Therefore its interesting that Red Ken, has vair little of thee fiery element. To me, a seasoned pro, that is to be expected. He is as cold as a newt. Kinnock and Thatcher for example were fiery speakers who inspired the crowd. I mean Billy Graham even inspired DIRK TO JUMP UP ON STAGE - NOT THAT HE NEEDS ENCOURAGEMENT!! - AND GET ONTO HIS KNEES AND PRAY TO THEE LORD TO FORGIVE HIS SINS (of which there are many!). So he must have been pretty inspirational - but not to me! I'm a tad less gullible.

Dazz Rose Lee: "Your being over literal..."
I know -- but I'm a neophyte when it comes to this stuff .
Political "types" are an interesting study ( Republicans?) 'cos it might show us that we have a system that encourages the wrong "type" to enter our institutions. Democracy should be unique in its ability to have "type favouring" be overturned.... although Socrates found the same old skills came to the fore, whatever you do.

Its complicated...would George Dubya be President if his Father hadn't been President. No...he would be making Pizzas or selling doughnuts in McDonalds.
Its merely a question of choosing the right person to fit the bill..fiery rhetoric comes from fiery people...its can't be manufactured of spinned. Which is why Geirge Galloway is such a great example. Not only of fire but of Leo...he only fits the criteria obviously because virtually ALL his planets are in Leo.
Just being born under a particular sign is next to useless.

Dazz Parish: "Its merely a question of choosing the right person to fit the bill...."
Well yes, that's what I'm getting at.
If we set up scenarios where the "bill" is rarely changing and develops into a self-referential attitude ( see Parliament Chamber...any era) we get...well...like any closed system: inter breeding and deformity.
Parliamentary cliches such as public school barracking, gang mentality, obsession with 'leadership qualities' ..and an unhealthy attachment to stodgy puddings - gives us what we have: near-atrophied bollox.
Most politicians I have ever encountered are a queer lot. Almost totally useless in any commercial environment.
Perhaps we should vet them on chart stats, or summat ? As valid as any idea I have heard to thin out the nutters in the Commons

I think possibly thats why people aren't inspired by Cameron, Davis and Hague. They're very competent but they don't seem to really make an impact.
As PM's both Thatcher and Churchill totally split people into seperate camps but it didnt matter because the support was fairly solid and it could be argued that they were saved by going to War on both counts.
I mean if you just meditate for a few minutes then a few similar 'fiery' inspirational types readily spring to mind. I dont know but i'm guessing that even a tv personality like Kate Adie was of that type. If it comes across even of msg brds then it shouldnt be to difficult to provide the evidence needed.
Certainly Jilona has a fiery temperament...others come across as calming..almost placid.
