As for me..its becoming glaringly apparent that I have no interest whatsoever in Global Warming.

Y'see Sandy..my point is that the CO2 emissions are a side issue. Yes they may be caused by humankind or they even be cause by the Sun although I think I'll ditch that idea.

So as Climate Change is of no interest...because WE CANNOT DO A DARN THANG ABOUT IT!..well Mel may stick a few solar panels on the roof although with our weather that seems a tad optimistic. I have nothing against these empty and futile gestures, Sandy.

However. I CAN wipe the lino (did u know lino produces more CO2 than humans?) with you on the main issues.

Lets take the Heathrow Nonsense, Sandy..that is merely the 21 century version of Greenham Common isn't it? We all agree that Nuclear Weapons and Cruise missiles aren't nice...but we live with it because we know that dressing up as a clown and sitting in a muddy field is going to do sod all.

Same with Biofuels....great idea...increase CO2 emission tenfold!

Same with Carbon Credits...you fly on Airplanes and pay for someone to plant a tree somewhere.

Monkeys, sheep or ... Wait a moment,it is sheep. Gullible sheep like those who get led astray from science to the faith of quasi-religious kooks.

When you think about it for a few seconds you will realise that the MMGW deniers are very similar to religious preachers and converts who refuse to accept the basic science, logic and common sense.

So when you hear someone feebly claiming that the sun is causing all the global warming it is like some God botherer who, as proof of the truth of his religion, points to passages in the Bible, as though that should convince anybody.

The lino statement is just as ridiculous as those who say that cows are the main cause of CO2, forgetting (or ignoring) the fact that these cows, sheep, chickens, pigs, turkeys, etc would not be around but for man - at least not in the quantity they need to be to feed
man.

You might as well just argue that power stations are also the main cause and forget that man is responsible for them.

I agree with you that biofuels, planting a few trees and carbon trading are not the way forward. So why should I avoid it? You are right. It is complete tosh and the kind of solutions that only ignorant politicians like Cameron would come out with.

But demonstrating is NOT tosh.

It is like the Madeleine Mccann tragedy.

Keeping it in the news and keeping people aware of it is the best way to get people to change their lifestyles.

There are too many people with their heads in the sands of Majorca.
