Try the basic things first. Open your trash and see if they are still there. If not you can purchase a file recovery programme. You mention iPhoto, are you using a Mac? If so, providing no-one has done a Secure Delete, they are still on your HD.
When you get them back, upload them all for free to Picasa Web Albums and protect them with a password.

Its that little grey icon at the top of your screen. Easier, open the finder window then click Go and select Applications. In Applications select Utilities then Restore, you may be able to restore your iPhotos. I suggest you try opening your trash first, they may still be there. If you can't see them, select reovered files.

That facility has gotten me out of trouble on several occasions. Betty - Let this be a lesson to you; never let other folk play around with your PC. They were obviously looking at your pics, some of which may have been, how can I put it, "private" ones. Eric

Okay, Betty. Click START, ALL PROGRAMMES, ACCESSORIES, SYSTEM TOOLS, SYSTEM RESTORE then choose a date before you let someone look at your PC. Eric (usual fee applies)
