As the Met Office...run by Global Warmists/Coolists or whatever daft new name they've devised for themselves..get it wrong yet again you can always count on Piers Corbyn to make fools of them by once again predicting the climate with unerring accuracy. bit.ly/empHuQScottish Minister Staurt Stevenson resigns... Another one who can't distinguish weather from climate.
Globally this is likely to match or beat 1998 and all other years in recorded history.
The world is a big place. England is very small.
World BIG. England small. World BIG. England small.
Got it now?
World BIG. England small.

Haven't you looked outside yet Dougal you dopey dimwit? its SNOWING..AGAIN..JUST LIKE IT ALWAYS DOES NOWADAYS!!!..GO ON ..TELL ME ITS DUE TO GLOBAL WARMING However, the warming is so far manifesting itself more in winters which are less cold than in much hotter summers. According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become "a very rare and exciting event"."Children just aren't going to know what snow is," he said. And ALL of the GW Dimwits were saying that...even GW forum geek and self proclaimed Climatechange 'Expert Sandy Winder was parroting the same hogwash. www.independent.co.uk/environment/snowfalls-are-now-just-a-thing-of-the-past-724017.html

"Global warming" does seem to have been replaced by "climate change" though. Whatever they decide to call it, one thing is certain. "They" will find ways to link whatever is happening to an absolute need for higher taxation to save the planet.
Death and taxes!

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Northern_Hemisphere_summer_heat_waveI expect if Daz had been a dim Russian instead of a dim Engerlander in the middle of 2010, when the failure of the Russian wheat harvest caused the cost of bread to rise (in price), he would not be saying anything so daft. But most sensible people look at global warming in a global context over the long term. Otherwise it would be called local warming - wouldn't it? I remember back in the 80s temperatures of - 19 in November. And in the 60s there was a lot more snow than there is today. This is mild compared to that. Although the schools close more quickly and often today, I don't remember missing many days because of the snow when I were but a lad. And the roads got gritted then. And the MET office have NOT got it wrong again. Seeing as they did not even make a forecast for the winter how the feck can they haye got it wrong? These amateurs are quick to tell us when they get a forecast right but they never tell all the times they get it wrong. And how many possibilities of a winter forecast are there? Either cold and frosty with snow or mostly mild with rain at times? Wow, how clever is that to get right? Any fool can predict one or the other.

"We're really going to get caught out. Snow will probably cause chaos in 20 years time," he said.

www.telegraph.co.uk/topics/weather/4436934/Snow-is-consistent-with-global-warming-say-scientists.html<<< Scientists point out that the people must distinguish between climate and weather. Weather is what happens in the short term whereas climate is the long term trend. "Just as the wet summer of 2007 or recent heat waves cannot be attributed to global warming nor can this cold snap," said Bob Ward, spokesman for the Grantham Research Institute for Climate Change at London School of Economics. "What is important to do is look at the long term global trends and they are still up. What we experience in the short term in this country is not important. After all, Melbourne had a heat wave last week." >>>
