if you have simple good manners there's probably not much need to read the TOS.

If people behave in a reasonable way I don't see a problem. But there are some that just like to cause trouble. Tall poppy syndrome.
In all my years on the Beeb boards I had but two posts pulled. One when I called someone a W***ker by using capital letters at the start of every line spelling that word, and one when I explained to some lunatic how he should determine the flash point of aviation fuel in his mums kitchen when he was banging on about 9/11. I thought it was fair, because I did tell him to put the cat out first.....
I fail to see why some people can't have a bit of fun, and a bit of more serious debate without getting nasty, or racist, or any other ist.

it appears that racist remarks are the main problem - so you probably know who you are. That's a tad worrying. The whole point of my own site is supposed to be that there are no restrictions on what posters can say (at least, subject to the decree of the majority, if a concern is raised). Otherwise, how can it be considered troll-friendly, so that asshats and free spirits alike can feel comfortable expressing their opinions? It isn't as if anybody could visit the place without knowing what expect (especially in 'The Ring'). It's not for everyone. It's for anyone...
