The idiot should not have been there in the first place.
Harsh but fair.

Quite right Sandywinder. Journos should keep their sticky beaks out of dangerous parts of the world. Let the bally natives kill themselves, what!

Having already killed the guy off after listening to a rather pessimistic Talk radio newscast - I'll stick to BBC - I'm more than keen for him to arise for the dead.
Have I said this elsewhere...well to say it again he seemed like a very good journalist to me and a fine fellow from what I've seen. You only recognise these people when they're shown broadcasting and then you think...oh its him!

I think Sandy and Fondoo have been harsh and unfair.
Journalists are so important in regions where there is strife. If there was no one to report the death and destruction there would only be more of it.

But how exactly have all these journalists stopped any violence from occurring? All I have noticed is them being used as pawns for blackmail purposes. And who is sending them to risk their deaths for no useful purpose whatever? Only us with our BBC licence fees. P.S. I thought Gaza had retired.

Its no good he's still captured by the Cheesers and anyway its his own fault for being gullible.
Oh sry..wrong Al Johnson.
Now today is Gargoyles birthday but I wouldnt know it without the Cheesers assistance. So Mel can you get yer finger out and give him a suitable luxurious platter for a Taurean bloke.

I think the furore has helped Alan Johnson... I hope it has. Better him released and back on the broadcasting circuit than that fat poseur, John Simpson (sorry, is that fatist?)
I have a solution to future abductions...Sandy will support :
Always offer terrorists a "swap". They get one of our prominant politicians in exchange for the journalist/aid-worker/soldier. Think how easier it will be when we see Peter Mandelson, Hazel Blears, Miliband <insert your own politician here>chained up and pasty-faced. And ... you can always rely on them to have something inocuous to say to Al-Jasiera cameras.
