Apologies for missing-ness - the BatPhone has been ringing off the hook
Am to the Hay Festival.
I will be searching out slightly over-blown Liberals .. and seeing if they pop when pinned.
I will be operating out-of-costume. If any Cyber Lounge Members
wish to converse with me, eyeball-to-batball, then simply wear a badge saying"Hello Kipper/Kipp" or whatever, and I might whisper a BatResponse.... if you don't look too shifty

I be back from da Hay festival.
Firstly...it was wet wet wet - those Welsh boyos have certainly mastered the Rain Dance. Still better wet hair than drowning in wet Liberals.
Secondly.... prices. Everything was 6 quid - it was a rule.
Thirdly...Authors/Speakers/Busy Bodies... they were everywhere, and nowhere, at the same time! Clever!
Fourthly ..I learnt absolutely NOTHING - except: Previously, I had chattering classes Guardianistas set at around 7.6 on my Smug Meter . I was wrong. most readings came in between 8.2 and 9.4.
I got the meter checked and re-calibrated at a local Reality Electronics outlet. Even so, the meter still gave those same readings (new batteries too)
I can only conclude that Smugness has had a significant rise in the last 12 months. This could be a new effect of global warming, or it's possible that Smug fall-out has reached dangerous levels.
(Mariella Frostrup is 67 today !)
