Here's a site set up so you can find places that have areas for you to smoke: www.smokerswelcome.co.ukWhen you put in an area, though, I think it has to be general, e.g., "London"

Is smoking in cars still allowed? Seems a bit daft if the driver can smoke a ciggy whilst driving?

Is smoking in cars still allowed? Seems a bit daft if the driver can smoke a ciggy whilst driving? God luv a duck am I ever glad I gave it up. It seems to be a nightmare now. I remember when each pub was thick with smoke. It was allowed in the cinema and one could see the smoke swirling in the light from the projector. I also remember an awful habit of the Brits of dropping their dog ends on the floor in a pub even if it had carpets. This seems to be not so bad anymore. gus

Is smoking in cars still allowed? Seems a bit daft if the driver can smoke a ciggy whilst driving? Allowed in private vehicles and company vehicles in private use at the time. So if you're in your company Rolls, Sandy, you can smoke if you're on your way home, but not if you are travelling between business meetings.

At our firm you cannot smoke in company vehicles at any time. At our local hospital, not only can't you smoke in the hospital (not so daft as it sounds - I remember smoking being allowed on the wards) but you can't smoke in the grounds, car park or even in your car if it's in the car park!
