The original joke was ironical..reminds me of the postman who meets the madman in the loony bin grounds, makes friends and then tells the man 'dont worry I'll speak to the staff and get you out of here and then as he walks a way a flying brick hits him on the back of the head with a brick. So he turns round and asks

'what did you do that for?'

'Don't forget will you?'
