How can mass testing as in Liverpool reduce infections? Surely it does no more than tell you the epidemic is shrinking or growing and you already know that from the shrinking or growing number of patients presenting with symptoms?
I wonder whether this is simply the government looking busy, spending money with no clear aim except to be seen to be doing something.
