Thank god thats the end of August.

I'd like to thank the scientists at the British Meteorological Office for predicting the hottest August this century..............grrrrrrrrr if I could get my bloody hands on 'em

Apparently the last three months (June, July and August) have been the third hottest since 1912 or whenever.

I'd be surprised if August hadn't turned out to be one of the wettest as well.

When the tide comes in if anybody has ever watched it, the waves do not flow uniformly. The water does not encroach onto your sand castle (oh bugger now you will all think I spend all my time making sandcastles) regularly. Some waves will fall short but soon the water will knock your castles down.

You could say the weather acts like this. Some years we will have odd cold winters and short summers but that doesn't mean the juggernaut of forces have stopped acting and the tide is going out..
