I am reading that the media sensation in Austria, Natasha Kampusch may not be what the media have portrayed her to be. reports are coming in of a skiing holiday she took with her captor Wolfgang Priklopil. Neighbours have also reported seeing driving or taking walks with him. Long live the free press, and TV sensation programmes.

Gus, I understand that the so-called ski-ing holiday was when she was taken out for one day to a slope close to Vienna where she was watched every moment. I believe she is being given quite a hard time and her lawyer is doing his best to protect her. My personal feeling, just intuition, is that her story is genuine. I hope she can be left alone to lead a normal life.

I hope she can be left alone to lead a normal life. Good, of course her story may be genuine and she is maybe a victim, but are things really as they seem. It maybe true as you say that she was closely watched and there is a belief that she may be suffering from Stockholm syndrom, but what about the neighbours reports and why did she 'escape' now and not before. My naturall sceptiscm tells me that now she is 18 ( I think) and of course of age is that she intends making a few bob out of whatever happened between her and her "captor" it is called making hay while the sun shines.
