Chad Varah died yesterday.
A true humanitarian, and a practical man.
His simple idea: to have a phone line with sympathetic listeners available to all who are afraid, desperate, suicidal, lonely...
Samaritans has been a life-line for...? millions perhaps.
And that's wonderful, IMO.

I wonder if someone else would have come up with the idea anyway? Even so, he initiated it so well done. a true Humanitarian.
