Gordon has decreed that we use "Climate Change" I suppose it's in the same vein as saying "Violent Bomby-Criminals" instead of "Islamic Terorists" - we have to get the language right, according to No.10 ! I can speak Phlegmish. Occasionally.

It's raining, it's pouring! The old man is snoring; He went to bed And bumped his head And couldn't get up in the morning.

<<< Kettley, a meteorologist so renowned that legendary madrigals proclaiming his brilliance have been known to grace the ears (and reach the Top ten) leaves us in no doubt that 'its just another poor Summer. Nothing more nothing less. In fact, something that was the norm throughout the 60's and has been repeated on numerous occasions since.
In fact the present downfall is a mere spring shower compared to the torrential downpours on 1912 - where was GW then? >>>
I don't recall mass floodings of houses in the 60's Daz. And you certainly don't because you were on drugs all that time.
And in 1912? 1912? 1912? That is nearly a hundred years ago.
What Daz can't get through his thick skull is that because a flood/drought/heat wave happened in the past then what is happening now is nothing different.
But it is not the same. Nothing like it.
If someone died of a heart attack it doesn't mean that EVERYBODY dies of heart attacks.
Although it is good way for the NHS to excuse their incompetent handling of MRSA infections.
I am sure Daz woiuld easily be taken in by such subterfuge.
He'll fall for any old thing like any old religious believer.
Daz is a SUN Worshipper. He has an uncompromising stubborn belief in the sun being the one true cause of global warming. Allelujah.
He prays to it every morning when he wakes up, assuming it bothers to make an appearance. And cries at sunset, wondering if it will ever come back again.

<<< He also anticipated “severe thunderstorms, hail and floods” - over July 4-5 (which we had) and worsening for July 10-11 (let's see).
The worst wet periods this month, according to Mr Corbyn, will be in the middle of next week - July 9-11 - and then again from July 22-26. “We are 90% sure both of these periods will include torrential rain, thunderstorms and a high risk of English tornado formations. The most likely places are the Midlands and eastern parts,” said Mr Corbyn.
St Swithin's Day will “not be especially wet”, he said, adding, “it will be a drier day between wet periods” >>>
This shows how good he is, doesn't it?
July 9/11 were not worse days. That time the weather was no different to the rest of the summer.
And he totally missed predicting the very heavy rainfall over the last week.
Now that he has predicted that it will be bad from July 22-26, I thoroughly expect the sun to come out.
Beggar me. It is sunny as we speak. What date is it? July 24.
If I was going on a date with him (not that I would - not being confused) I wouldn't expect him to turn up on the right week, let alone the right day or the right time.
What a plonker.

<<< He said that although between 1910 and 1998 global temperatures were rising, they had fallen for the last nine years.
“It’s complete nonsense and is not based on any scientific method or evidence. Since 1998 world temperatures have gone down and will continue to decline while carbon dioxide release has been accelerating during that period.” >>>
This is the standard twaddle from the Sun worshippers.
Hey they say, let's pick on a date, one particular date like 1998 which happened to be a much hotter year (thus ADDING to all the compelling evidence that GW is happening by the way) than usual and base ALL our calculations since on that one year.
Why do they do this? Because they know damned well it will fool all the gullible sunworshippers into believing them.
Now supposing 1998 had been a very cool year relatively speaking.
Would the quacksters have used 1998 as a base for all their calculations then?
No, not on your nellie.
They would have said 'look how can GW be happening when 1998 was such a cold year'.
And the gullible idiots who look up to the sun in awe and wonder would then have said:
'Yes praise be to the sun. We must worship the sun. The sun is everything. We must bask in the glory of the sun but all these MMGW crowd are causing the evil clouds to gather. We must kill them and purify them of their sins . They bow down to science. They are heretics. Burn them."

They're trying to trick people by calling Global Warming..Climate Change. Therefore ANY change comes under the umbrella of scientific alarmism. Apparently the word Global Warming was scaring people. Can it not permeate those booze addled brain cells (if they have not been drowned in their own flooding - and that is definitely man-made ) that GW is not only causing temperatures to rise but that is is having a significant impact on other weather factors such as rainfall and atmospheric pressure(winds)? Hence the term CLIMATE CHANGE. You may be uncaring about the people of Wales as you are about anybody else in the wide world, even those in England but don't expect us all to have your selfish attitude.

I'm not sure what calendar you are using, Sandy. We moved onto the Gregoriian Calendar sometime in the 17th century.
Anyway its July 24th and if you feel the waeather is wonderful then I suggest you take amuch needed break and go paddling in Tewkesbury or the Cotswold Broads.
..a bit like the Norfolk Broads but not so soddin boring!

It has barely affected Wales its mainly the English Shires. You don't even know where the flooding is! Its a pathetic attempt to make a story out of nothing. There was a scientist on last night who prefaced his analysis by saying that it was impossible to connect this flooding with Climate change he then went on and on for ages to do exactly that. If you can't make a soddin connection then shut the feck up!

Yes it is July 24th and the weather in Lancashire is fine and sunny. Even the floods in Gloucester are going down because the sun is out. The opposite of what Corbyn has predicted. www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweather/
