As the only reader of Dirks blog I was surprised to read that he'd been ill recently. Anyway I'm glad to say that he'd updated his journal and hopefully he'll be back typing new, entertaining entries soon. Actually I lied...my Old Man likes to read it as an old Trad Jazz fan and err..my Mother seems to regard Dirk as the only sensible person left on the Planet. I've had to try and dissuade her from setting up a Chris Hughes fanpage..she thinks he's amazingly wise and clever. If only she KNEW THE REALITY!!!  |

I'm getting so used to calling it Hen Soup that I'm confused. Its a bit like calling Beef Broth..Cow Offal Soup.

Apart from the last part. I really think he should rest from the boards if only for my sake. He was a grumpy old sod right from the off..now he's just goin to be far far worse. On the other hand I bet he's said a few prayers during the last year or so.. Who knows..it might be an evangelical born-again Dirk..with a fixed grin and those odd glassy eyes so familiar from those newly initiated - again in Dirks case! Can you be born twice?  |
