I think the Americans are taking over the BBC. Every other presenter seems to be American and I get fed up with decoding their mangling of the language. The other day I heard a very intense lady banging on about why J.K.Rowlings heroic wizard was so favoured by the LGBT community (I may have dropped an initial or two there. Apologies if I have). He was 'hairy' for all 30 minutes of it I think. She may have been a 'rider' by which I mean she wrote books.
ALL items about technology and science seem to involve an American expert wittering on about the 'innernet' or 'combuders' and the bloody election there hasn't helped either.

It would be really nice to hear accents from other countries too occasionally, but the Beeb seems far less interested in them.
