Well, so I'm told.
It's all due to Bitcoin. I have been receiving emails from - someone - who first told me I had £4,800 in my bitcoin account. All I had to do was to confirm receipt by clicking a button. As I have never ever had a bitcoin account, I concluded this remarkable currency had magically set one up and placed £4,800 in it as a goodwill gesture. I emailed them back asking asking them to send me a cheque fo the full amount.
Reply came there none.
Instead I receive another email. My account now held £32,000. I again sent them an email asking for a cheque, but before I could turn around, My account had shot up to £49,000. A third cheque request was dispatched and so it went on until I just got told I had £282,950.
I expect they no sooner write these cheques to me than the amount goes up and they are compelled to ask me if I want the larger sum.
Where will it end? Billions? Trillions?
I am contemplating buying Amazon when my cheque arrives, paying off all the employees with a severance Bonus of a million or so, and shutting it down as a gesture of goodwill to the local shops. I may keep a few billion, the rest would go to the Unions' Tory-bashing fund.
Sounds reasonable?
