Hang on - literally. I'm eating humble pie - anything but carp! - take it from me I am suitably impressed.

I know Gargoyles very keen on perch. Alexia goes mainly for catfish. Sandy prefers sea fishing...anyway enough of this carp. I'll shut up before I'm netted.

I'll shut up before I'm netted. two days ago i met a guy from Canada who came here for vacancy with his friend and also wanted to catch perches. he told me that carps were garbage in Canada.

Perch are easy to find over here but there usually fairly small. Nowhere near as big as those in the pics. You'd have to get a fishing license over here because all the best patches are owned by landowners . I know the east europeans who come here, especially the polish love to eat carp and theres a bit of controversy because you're supposed to throw them back in over here. Which is silly really - whats the point! ;D

No no no...its traditional to lie through your back teeth and say you caught them all yourself...you've heard of the term 'fishermans tales' or dont they have them in Slovakia?

in Draždiak, where those carps were caught, there are quite big perches. also around 30-40cm. but you have to wait for them or have good worms:)
