My client...sorry...OP feels as if she's being harassed. Where is the bloody admin here? A few words could nip all this in the bud. I admire OP (always have) have no quarrel with Gus or Piccione... now lets behave like grown ups.  |

Well, punky, there are many people who’d say that those who do not speak up against racism (actual or perceived) are just as guilty.
Are you, perhaps, turning a blind eye to posts that might offened others, and just look after yourself, speaking up, refusing to post on the same board as certain posters when it comes to issues that offend/affect /you/ personally?

That's all a matter of PC opinion, punky. Some people want to see offence were there is none, others don't. I can point to offensive posts made to me. You cannot point to racist and bigoted posts made by me. At the risk of repeating a point that you have already absorbed; the difference is one of evidence. I have never called you racist. if i have will you show me when this was. The board that you post on is swarming with racists. It is sickening, yet one post about sex sends you into a tizz woz that you are repeating months afterwards. post it and let everyone see it. We can throw some more Holy Water over it. gus |

There's no point in going over the same ground over and over so in an effort to heighten the debate to a higher level I tried to ask how things would be a few hundred years...would everyone be a quarter Asian, a quarter afro-Caribbean with a bit of English/Scottish thrown in or would everyone be living in separate ghettos? More philosophical points rather than so knee jerk reaction to the latst media headline...thats about the best you can do really. Try and mix things up and move the tenor of the posts up a few levels. All I've discovered is that although Americans are very pleasant on the whole...the smallest percieved slight of the Stars & Stripes and they ALL go ballistic! |

But Picc started a thread asking me to justify another poster, and now seems to think I should justify every racist comment on JSG that others make. She seems to think I am the justifier. And in the middle of all this justifying Gus came on and told me stop posting. What's a girl supposed to do? |

That is one option - but a bit rude. i wish Gus would calm down a bit....i for one thought he got rotten treatment when he first joined JSG - unfortunately his reaction to it only proved his tormenters correct....but i can understand the feeling he must have had. btw gus i looked on the members list (you have to log on to see it) and you are still listed so i suspect you are not banned. |

Would you like to read my post again? I was not talking about any particular post you may have made. I asked you to point to a post where I was racist or bigoted. Do you want to try again, or do you want to just admit you were spinning out your usual web of hate and innuendo with no evidence to back it up? If you honestly think the worst thing you ever said to me was inappropriate references to my ding or your desire for oral sex then you are stupider than I thought. Your constant depiction of me as a racist and a bigot was also a contribution to my conclusion that you were a despicable human being. I know that. I'm glad you do as well. So why all that talk about 'abuse'? So we should measure abuse by its affect on the victim rather than by the behaviour of the offender? Interesting take picc. Actaully YES. We should measure abuse by its effect on the victim. If Billy/Daz calls me a cloth eared git I take it as jest but if someone I didn't know so well (and hadn't built up a fair amount of camaraderie with) said the same words I might feel 'abused'. You must be aware of such friendly banter. If not you have led a very sheltered life. It could be that Gus just adopts this attitude with posters a little too quickly before some people have become 'acclimatised' to him. In short I reckon people have gone over the top a bit (ON BOTH SIDES). I wouldn't put all the blame on one side or the other. |

For your information I have only been barred from two boards this is one of them and we all know how we can't upset the sweet young things who complained. A finger wagging would have been sufficient. but it was not to be eh GC. The other board is run by the person who barred me and YOU. I am not barred from any board unless you want to bar me from this one to please your "pals" on the JSG. you suspect.... are you serious  gus |
