I don't like any of them. What a sad bunch of tossers they are. Its like having to listen to the speaking clock such is their utter predictability...the difference is that this lot are nearly always wrong.

Yes, well I like my little nephew and neices but I don't choose to listen to their peculiar gibberings all day long.
Although coming to think about it they do make more sense (and are much less annoying).

Tsk, what hospitality. I may have to delete my account and leave, in case simply leaving quietly doesn't register on you.

Then wait say a week or so and come back with a jaunty air saying " I have now calmed down at least until my next flounce" ;D gus

Daz put me straight on something I have just noticed. On the MO the members are scrumpers, golden delicious, wormy, or some other bollox. Now I thought that on here only you and betty who are 'lounge lizards' and the rest of the hoi polloi were madrigal members, yet now I see that i am a madrigal reader ?? why is that I ask?

The Washington Post By Steven Hill Sunday, October 7, 2007; Page B03
In the global economy, today's winners can become tomorrow's losers in a twinkling, and vice versa. Not so long ago, American pundits and economic analysts were snidely touting U.S. economic superiority to the "sick old man" of Europe. What a difference a few months can make. Today, with the stock market jittery over Iraq, the mortgage crisis, huge budget and trade deficits, and declining growth in productivity, investors are wringing their hands about the U.S. economy. Meanwhile, analysts point to the roaring economies of China and India as the only bright spots on the global horizon.
But what about Europe? You may be surprised to learn how our estranged transatlantic partner has been faring during these roller-coaster times -- and how successfully it has been knocking down the Europessimist myths about it
Mr Winder, read this.

Pink Botty - this article was written in 2007 - perhaps things have changed a bit since then?

Well, Daz (tugging forelock) please allow us mere mortals to at least bask in the reflection of your glory for a while. Meanwhile you could do worse than reflect on the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, who opined: "People do not seem to realise that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character". Do you think he might just have a point?
