Another world-famous band is heading to Bratislava. British group Duran Duran will perform in mid October.
Following the huge success of their world tour in 2004 and 2005 promoting their latest album, Astronaut, the five original band members announced in early September that they would take a short break prior to making a new album, during which they would kick off a tour of Eastern Europe. They will play in Bratislava's Expo Arena on October 15.
Bryan Adams to sing in Košice
Canadian singer Bryan Adams is another world star set to thrill Slovak audiences. His concert is planned for Košice on November 22. Preliminary information indicates the singer/songwriter of such hits as Please forgive me, Everything I do, I do it for you and When you're gone will perform in the recently completed Steel Arena.
Adams has already sung in Slovakia. In April 2003, he performed in Bratislava's Incheba Expo Centre, where he gained the audience's love for his singing and spontaneity. A famous story from the concert involves Adams choosing a Slovak girl from the audience to sing When you're gone as a duet.

Yeah he sung it live on a reunion tour and I was amazed at how good it was. They're okay..there are no pictures of me as a 'new romantic' and f there were they wouldn't be shown. Actually it was one of those London fashion things..no-one outside of the Capital took much notice. Sandy and Dirk from QQR were New Romantics in fact Dirk was in the Karma Chameleon video. He was the chameleon ;D. It was very much their era but way too early for me.
