I'm hoping to watch the repeat.
My infatuation goes back a long long way. At school I was the only person who had heard of them then I read a number of strange letters in the Manchester Evenng News and NME from a bloke called Steven Morrissey of Stretford. One mentioned that the band - without the singer - were flying over to play a gig in a large M.cr Pub called the Oaks in Chorlton which was usually a Jazz venue.
I went down, age 16/17 on a Friday night to a crowded Pub with a loads of locals and regualrs at the Bar. Around 9 pm.. Johnny Thunders and the rest of the N.Y.Dolls strolled in as if they owned the place, dressed in sharp italian suits and winkle pickers. And after that the place was owned - by them.
Tough Italians born up in the Bronx couldn't care less about a few old guys and pretend English 'punks' (incl.me)..they had the Bar Staff running around all over the place even though no-one knew who the hell they were.
Thats the power of charisma. When you see it you know it. As for David Johansen, even though he's growing old (60?) he's still one of the coolest guys on the planet even though he's taken enough drugs to wipe out most of Moss Side.

I thought Johansen looked ancient while Woss was "interviewing" but once the music started he looked thirty years younger.

I'm not sure but the repeat is on tonight.
I think? << rips apart newspaper >>
Actually I'm bored with the News. I once asked a forum..okay 'Shirleys Forum' whether they watched the news and most replied 'no way we;d rather watch the Simpsons'.
You know what? - they were right!

Its sooo bloomin' depressing though and what can you do about it. Solve famines?, global warming?, several war zones?, massacres?..I can't even sort out the bills never mind whats happening on the other side of the World!
