Its not as if I even like Stairway To Heaven let alone want to listen to 101 - YES 101!! - different versions of it from the Vienna Choir to Frank Zappa to..well you name it. Very good Gargoyle. You really have thee olde photoshoppe bug. I wish I could understand just a tiny bit - but I can never apply myself to the manuals.....of which I have a pile . |

Layers are great once you get used to them. They make life so much easier.

 I haven't got to grips with them yet....one day I am going to get Mr P to sit down with me for a whole day and show me. They are men things, layers. The feminine mind would never invent them.

Just think of them as sheets of acetate, one on top of the other. Instead of drawing on top of your original image and possibly spoiling it you use another sheet on top to draw on. When you're happy with the way your image looks (and you can go back to any of the layers to make changes) You can merge all the layers together. |

I understand that bit Gargoyle. I just don't like the way I can't drag things about on a page and they want precise measurements - i like to do things in a pretty slapdash way.
I will suss it out this winter....possibly!
