Who the hell are these people giving opinions...bah the youth of today!! Anyway 'The Birds' by Alfred Hitchcock is absolute rubbish and not in the least scary. Don't get me started on the Blair Witch Project..even me and Fairy were in unison as one there. 'Shallow Grave' is a brilliant film but err..scraped in the low 40's out of the Top 50'. 'Clcokwork Orange' a horror film? I donlt thnk so. I still think 'Psycho' is the most frightening film I've ever seen (as long as you don't know ANYTHING about the plot beforehand). Ingenious.

I still think 'Psycho' is the most frightening film I've ever seen (as long as you don't know ANYTHING about the plot beforehand). Ingenious. Perhaps not frightening, but after the long suspense, a scene nearly at the end of 'Don't Look Now' is more immediately shocking and terrifying.

I'm sure i did untold damage to the eldest Pea by watching the original Fog film whilst pregnant ..... i wonder what i would think of it now. Don't Look Know and The Birds frighten me.....but then most things do

I don't think Stephen Kings films are particularly frightening. Some people are scared to death of birds, I've even known someone who was too frightened to stay in the house and all because a pigeon had fallen down the chimney. It wasn't even flying but just flapping a bit pathetically. I felt more sorry for the pigeon really.
I really don't know what frightening about a flock of seagulls. A pride of Lions - scarey..a few starlings - not scarey.

I read a book called The Pigeon this morning - a novella really - by Patrick Suskind rather good - but even a pigeon can be scary to some.
