I watched SCD on Saturday and once more wept that I could not only not dance as good as the contenders but that I can not dance at all. When I was a schoolboy the hit parade was dominated by crooners Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Al Martino et al and popular singers such as Johnny Ray, Frankie Laine and Guy Mitchell (american) Frankie Vaughan and Dickie Valentine (british) Having no internet and lousy TV programes the Brits amused themselves at the Cinema and danced the foxtrot quickstep and waltz at the Palais, Adelphi and Hippodrome in their local towns. I too was waiting to strut my stuff at these venues when Rock and Roll came on the scene with Bill Haley and Elvis Presley.... well eff the quickstep and balls to the foxtrot i was a hoppin' and a boppin' my little legs off. That's why i never learned to dance... btw i can still bop ;D
