Cross-posted from JSG because I need and thrive on a larger audience. A post in reply to Lord Lucans plea for all of us to join the BNP. ..I never though i'd ever write a post about lord lucan joining the BNP without being sent to the funny farm first Human nature takes the course of being sanguine about problems until they arrive on their doorstep which is known as the NIMBY syndrome. Liberals are generally student/teacher/public services/middle class types so arent bothered. The people who REALLY kick up a fuss are the people on Council Estates and BNP members recruit from this base. Its well known..they garner votes from the people who are suffering most and therefore its understandable they vote BNP. I dont personally agree but its understandable just as Muslim anger about the bombing is understandable. Now the best solution in my view and its a controversial one is for the Terrorists to solely target politicians and the House of Parliament. And that is the ONLY way they will really get off their arses and act because the blunt truth is that they dont give a d**n about the public..THEY and they're ambitions come first. Now theres a huge flaw in having Parliament blown to bits and that is that its nearly always empty of MPs anyway. Hardly any turn up even when theyre not on holiday.

That's unfair. The place was full to bursting over the fox hunting issue.
But you are right that people always vote for their own self-interest above anything else. This is why Labour got back in power and stayed there. Look at all the money (Tax Credits) and public sector jobs that have been thrown at them. But rising prices from gas and electricity (which is not really labour's fault), together with huge council tax rises, higher mortgage costs etc. will sour the public far more than any speeches Cameron and Co will ever make.
And as for targetting Policticans like Blair, I think they make damn sure they are well-protected, unlike the rest of us.

Ripe bananas glistening in the morning sun. You take it in your hand firmly, slowly peel back the inviting soft skin and almost lazily allow your tongue to .... ooer!
