For a long time Germany has been so consumed with guilt about the terrible events of WW2. that it has hardly ever critised what happened during the war. Dresden and the carpet bombing of hundreds of German cities e:g This pales into insignificance though besides what happened AFTER the war when 12 million East Germans were torn from their homes and forced to endure rape and torture from the Poles on an unimaginable scale. My mother in law, her mother ( father fell at Stalingrad) and her 4 sisters were forced out of their beautiful home near Breslau ( now Poland) raped repeatedly by Russians and Poles two sisters shot dead, mother died of malnutrition on the march and my mother in law took two bullets in her leg . Now a privately funded exhibition of the terrible events as gone on show in Berlin and the Poles are shouting "foul" The mayor of Warsaw has cancelled his visit to Berlin because of this. It is a story that the world hardly knows anything about and it needs to be told

Yes indeed Gus. The truth should be told. What a pity our politicians are so reluctant to do it.
