They'll be forcing every employer to take a certain quota of unreliable people next.

I suppose whether its true or not will depend upon whether the Mail follows those guidelines it talks of.

I have no reason to suspect that the Mail has not reported what Ms Namo told them.
However, the Jobcentre said it is happy to accept adverts asking for reliable workers, and actually printed the original advert. So if Ms Namo was told what she claims to have been told, it was probably a member of staff getting the wrong end of the stick.

Or a member of staff just being too over-officious and a rapid cover up was done when they found out it was in the press.

it's rather sad that we live in a society that doesn't automatically assume that a worker being paid a salary should be anything other than reliable. surely the unreliable would be shown the door after day one of unreliableness? but i suppose if unreliable bankers can be paid bonuses on top of their salaries...... what a mess

Yes, it hardly seems necessary to advertise that quality, does it? Ask as silly question....
Though I think "salary" might be overstating the reward, Bets: it is a minimum wage and doubtless if people don't turn up they don't get paid.

Quite a few building contractors seem to be taking on labourers on a "self employed" basis, which gives them the excuse to pay them less than the NMW!
