One of my favourite authors, once a man and now a women. I think if my memory serves me well she wrote about it in her book Conundrum. The book I am reading now is called Contacts, about brief encounters with people. Let me tell you about one of them. She is in Weimar in the late 90s and she is in a taxi. "What did she think of the food"? asks the driver "Did she know that Weimar is to be the European City of Culture in 1999" Congratulations she said, recognition for the City of Art and Music. "Exactly" replied the taxi driver and just then they turned off the highway up to Buchenwald.
