i don't know. the awful thing is that she has no choice but to handle it now. i hope she makes a good recovery - from reading the piece - i think there is a chance that she could regain a fair amount of function + she seems to be pretty feisty  riding, mountain climbing, and various other recreational activities/sports are known to be dangerous - i presume that participants are aware of that and choose to take the risk. |
