British firm investing Sk7 billion into new Centre Plaza in Bratislava
KAMENNÉ Square in Bratislava is due to get a face-lift. The British Lordship firm plans to renovate and expand the Tesco department store area into a retail and residential complex, the Nový Èas daily wrote on October 16.
Under the terms of the project, called 'Centre Plaza', the British investor plans to build two new luxury pyramid-shaped hotels in place of the current Kyjev Hotel.
In addition, the investor plans to build a new multi-functional building with offices and luxury apartments on Špitálska Street.
These three buildings, with the investment estimated at Sk7 billion (€189.2 million), will form an 'atrium' with a glass cupola.
"The British company has already specified all the details of the projects. However, everything is still in the negotiation and planning phase," said Štefan Šlachta, Bratislava’s chief architect.

I like Tesco's.
I like Safeways even more for deciding they wanted to build on the rundown plot of land and giving such a healthy amount after a long war of attrition!
I go to Asda, Safeways is the nearest but it was taken over by Morrisons which is crap and Asda has a pretty wide wine selection. Which is vair important no?
