Is it not strange that this board and lots of others function perfectly well without the likes of Nanny TC making the children members take their medicine daily. gus Perhaps it’s ‘cause the cheeses are all Big Babies. There’s a lot of it about. Don’t be a naughty boy, now.

No, I'm in charge!!Actually I quite like TC doing his Capt. Mainwaring act. Its not so much fun now. Some dude called Pearly Gates has moved in there and is currently wiping the floor with Arena and Exco with an ease not seen since er..oh since the great Kendo Nagasaki was at his peak. Grrrr!

It's all gone terribly quiet over there since Gus was evicted. Even fewer posts than here overnight.

I don't wish to sound petty but the big babies are the ones who refuse to adhere to the rules of the game, which they accepted before running onto the pitch. The main purpose, I believe, in trying to keep a steady ship is to stop it being capsized as happened in the past. It is very easy to slag off the 'referee' but without a referee there wouldn't be a game at all, proboards would cause the match to be abandoned.
Why I think this board has little need for referees is because the posters are not committing fouls every five minutes and so the game is allowed to flow. But it only needs one ugly player to upset the whole team. Clearly this board doesn't have any (although there are several who indulge in some dirty tackles from time to time, myself included) and hopefully will continue to do so.
I'll get me flak-jacket. ;D

It takes two to tango though.
You have to give certain people some leeway. A lot of people lieft QQR just because Alexia was posting kittens etc, and a few people thought Stevan was overbearing, FN and Novo were always airing domestic problems and this list goes on and on. My attitude was if you found anyone irritating then just do your own thing and let them do theres.
Therefore when anyone said..well I'm leaving because I'm sick of so and so it seemed pretty petty to me. Why not just ignore it. Live and let live.
Gus is someone who is perfectly happy and generates lots of posts and rather unorthodox - some would say utterly insane - views on all and sundry, in the same respect to Stevan who was also a bit off the wall. But its obvious to me that as a slightly awkward Bolshie type he doesnt like being told what or what not to do and as I'm a bit similar..I dont like someone acting like a petty official and laying down rules to me, so its understandable.
As far I can see the only reason I was banned from places was because I was too opinionated. I might add the 'trolls' are people who have no opiniions at all other than to irritate on purpose. Every post I ever made on the Oldie contained a strong opinion and the guy, Nick, who was in charge of the place actually sent me an email saying exactly that. Furthermore he said he was fed up with a clique of people running the place who obviously didnt read the magazine, so I replied well I've never read it in my life..to which he said well at least your opinions are more in line with our readership!
So effectively it was closed because of that 'clique' of people yet laughably they had the brass neck to blame ME! ;D

Arena is totally inept and like Al gets very tetchy and has a tendency to lose his rag when outwitted (and he is getting totally crushed over there!). Exco is one of those Old Socialists who writes as if children are still sent down the Mines and thrown into Workhouses. PG is using a scalpel with greater acuity than me and Sandy could offer. I'm impressed.

Well I'd rather end up reading it than selling the Big Issue.
Although Julie Burchill debunked it as rubbish and I always agree with Julie - about everything.

Gus does provide some entertainment value though. Anyone who suggests doing away with taxation but charging 50% Vat on all goods has some fairly eccentric ideas. Its brilliant. We'll all be very rich - just as long as we dont ever buy anything! ;D

It's all gone terribly quiet over there since Gus was evicted. Even fewer posts than here overnight. I take it all back. TC and Arena have put in two new invisible boards, the snug (as snuggly as it sounds) and The Smoking Room is back. However, and you'll like this, Exco is banned from the Smoking Room. In fact he probably can't even see it! Do you think someone should tell him?

When you say it is quiet over there since I again upset Nanny TC and was once more ignominiously removed .i do hope you are not refering to my big mouth ;D By the way it seems you haven't arrived until Nanny has evicted you. Apropos of nothing garg. i arrived back home today and changed trains at Derby. Did you know there is a plaque on the station there commemerating the Midlands railway men that fell in the South African war also called the Boer war. They seem to have long memories in Derby i hope you are behaving yourself there, they won't forget. ;D gus

You and i take it more like minded members have complained about me. Why I would like to know?. You made the ludicrous statement that i want to bring " the pleasant board" down. Why in the name of the Holy Mother would i want to do that. what advantage or satisfacton would that give me. If you for one moment think that mimi then I can say you do not know me at all. Why i have been banned is because I have had the audacity to criticize and make fun of Bruce Forsyth TC. You can see him doing the same thing with exco. If you are a sycophant then alls well on the Cheese, but weh ist mir when you you cross him. Another thing that i am sure the members have noticed , he is not happy unless he can tell eveyone "I'm in charge" I'm very keen to know why I've been banned from there....as always! You got up nanny or one of his sycophants noses. gus

The answer is much more simple, cross Nanny TC at your peril, you can see that by the way he refuses to post as a normal member but wants to exercise his powers by strutting round the classroom wielding the cane. gus
