Northern Soul

I had until last night never heard of northern soul I thought it might be a fish It is a type of music. it is as far as I can make out not your James Brown, Diana Ross, Motown type soul but an unholy sound that I should imagine Beezlebub plays on his i pod.
That by side the thing is it seems that they have clubs for this type of music where the locals dance some very weird steps indeed. All this is but as nothing to the level of noise they play it at. I went last night to one of these clubs in Nottingham against my better judgement I might add, but my paramour is a bit younger, well quite a bit younger actually and she said I might like it. Well when the days I would want electrodes placed on strategic parts of my body will be the day I like northern soul.
I thought this music is the loudest i have ever heard in my life, but guess what. After the bar closed they turned it up even louder. even shouting or being shouted at next to one's ears was to no avail. my head is still ringing this morning. my girl said I will get used to it. I said nowt but i have a full list of excuses I will make next time I am invited to Hell

I've gone all misty eyed now although I only went a few times. Its apotheosis was a few years prior to erm..oh damn I'm giving my age away here.
