Yes; one feels that the plot/character is in safe hands.

Quite
That's why Robinson (England Goalie) never became an actor.

My patience only runs so far, Sandy. Ask Exco and Arena...the more I listen to your gibberish the more I can't help but feel they were correct. Is the standard Daz riposte when you have been found out? If you're so good, Sandy, go and find Maddy (again).

DAZZ GRAND MASTER: "Common Purpose graduate Cressida dick ...."Common Purpose has drawn some flak because it could appear to be a talking shop ------------------------- Gene Hackmans always picks good films..well usually. The Olivier/Michael Caine view of "always choose the film that pays well however trashy it is" is deeply cynical. It makes sense to them but not to the viewers.
There are a few actors who seem to have an unerring talent of picking a good..usually low budget..offbeat film..the Fargo/Big Lebowski type of classy/arty/not takin itself too seriously deal. Steve Busceni especially, Hackman to an extent, Jeff Bridges, John Cusack..even Ralph Fiennes usually chooses wellHackman is not someone I can "like" ... but the films I have seen, are always good when he puts in the appearance. Despite his demeanor that's also true of Anthony Hopkins as well. There's enough talking shops, Kip. If anyone had anything original to say they could easily say it within one para or even one sentence. Anthony Hopkins? Silence of the Lambs is one of the over-rated films ever made. Compared to the other film of the book..Manhunter its very poor and Hopkins just makes a meal of it. Literally.

Caught 20 minutes of Nigella - while I was doin' din-dins,as it happens.
Nigella seems to open packets very well - Marks must love her coming in the door.
I have no idea what's going on in her head (anything?) but whatever it is... it all eventually ends with a cleavage-in-the-lens and some ribald undertow. The girl missed a career as a top French courtesan by ...oo...er... abour 200 years.
Best comedy on TV

I have nae seen Hustle ... but if you're scamming ... you can always get caught
BBC Controller resigns ... he was trying to scam the public he had the systems to keep his daft Editors in control.
Thing is ... Mr Joe-Public-Reasonable is saying the resignation was "harsh" and that the lad's "too senior" to take the rap. Well here this Mr Not-Cricket ... the bloke's in charge of a coach load of monkeys who he hasn't got under the lash - so he gets the boot quite rightly. The BBC rot, down in most of the production teams, is still there, festering away. 60% of the staff are total numpties who should never be allowed near a camera or microphone.

SUNDAY Bat TV Saw a loveley documantary on Mathematical genii - young lad/ladettes enteriing the Internation Mathematics competition , representing UK .. and all the eliminations and strains and drama associated. Lovely film-making - semi predicatable nerd attitudes etc.

On the TopsyBox last night: a lotta laffs from Bremner, Bird and Fortune. The star turn was a wonderful lady who sent up Nijello Lawson most beautifully.
Michael Palin being embarassingly nerdy in Poland...toe clenching, bottom curling...but the photography lovely.
