More or less a glimpse of whatevers hanging around the desktop or looping around the brain tissues or whatevs on the Ipod. Haile Selassie is the Chapel is my fave Bob Marley record and thats been on awhile now Chelsea Morning by Joni Mitchell because it cheery and good for playing in the morning Too Many Creeps by Bush Tetras an odd song called Clear Off by the Fall, a song called 'The Backyard' thats very catchy but not enough for me to recall who its by and Oh La La by the Faces. More or less all of them are upbeat. I dont like downbeat stuff esp. singer songwriter/folk/country & western stuff/and Emo? Emo is some kind of music that only kids know about but whatever it is I dont like it. Last but not least The Taxman by Junior Walker rather than the Beatles because he doesnt date it by keep mentioning Harold Wilson and its just better all round. Funky

Good name for your roundup, Madrigalman.
Wasn’t “Clear Off” one of The Fall’s Monks covers?

I'm not that familiar with some either.
Very 'eclectic tastes'!

wow, i dont know any artist you mentioned. I wouldn’t worry about it, Darinka: I’m just not very in touch with a lot of current music. I rely on Madrigalman to keep me up to date with the latest stuff but a lot of what he posts is pretty weird. I’ve heard of Bon Jovi, though.

Bon Jovi is a very old band. more than 20 years. i dont like commercial music. i am very picky. i have a radio turned on for whole day at work (my colleague wants to listen) and i am sick off that music which repeats all the time. i like a lot of music. also artists like Nick Cave or PJ Harvey. or old things: 80s and some 90s hits. but i like 80s more. it is music of my childhood:)))

I like that record a lot, PJ. Khaled has a very fine voice, indeed. His show isn't particularly spectacular in terms of costumes, lights, dancing and all the rest, in fact there's practically none of that, but it's extremely entertaining and infectious. He's also one of the few big performers I've seen in recent years who's mixed a lot with the audience just off or at the edge of the stage, who's invited 8-10 of the audience at one go to join him on the stage, and who's stayed afterwards giving endless autogrammes and chatting with anybody who wanted to talk to him.

I’ve never seen him in the flesh but I always imagine, from his records, that he’s a charismatic sort of chap. Such interaction can really make a show worthwhile. The last gig I went to (albeit not by an especially big “star”) was made all the more enjoyable by some audience members dancing around the stage and the friendly manner of the performer.

today to remind me of the late Dulcie ..some suitably emotional bossa nova of such dramatic intensity its enough to set the computer alight. bossa-brasileira.blogspot.com/[img width=500 height=500 src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5449/1089/1600/edith%20veiga%201960%20faz-me%20rir%20[chantecler%20C%2033602]%20A.jpg"] And no I've never heard of her prior to this lucky download. Edith can sing as well as the other Edith (Piaf)..in fact very similar, just different continents and languages,
