..... However I have been reading with interest your sons travails, Mimi. and wish him a safe journey home. Glad you enjoyed them. He's not my son though, just a good friend and neighbour (former colleague). When I give him a good talking to for his own good he does sometimes say: "You sound just like my mother."

Oh its all tongue in cheek Mancunian sarcasm, Mimi. I just find it funny when people like Stevan get banned and then poor old Dirk says something like 'Oh please don't' and the guy Boss Cat does it anyway. Fortunately theres no cheesy stuff here and hence no mice. However I have been reading with interest your sons travails, Mimi. and wish him a safe journey home. Madrigal. old mate. I am happy with this board because you and others here give as much as they get but without any malice or nastiness whatsoever. It is such a refreshing change from the anal crumbly smoking chamber, haunted by the three blind mice. They talk about allowing into Britain as many as can get in without any consideration at all for all the problems it creates for us, the immigrants themselves and the people left behind in places like Poland. And then the hypocrites are happy when people with opposing, outspoken views like yourself who, in my opinion hasn't an ounce of racism in his body, are banned from residing on the same board. Even the arch-hypocrite exco doesn't want to stop you having your slice of cheese.

The best way to answer is to turn the tables and ask Gus and Exco whether they think the Germans/French/Italians etc would tolerate a mass migration of our football hooligans, families with 5, 6, 7 kids on welfare into their country under the coat-tails of a a proportion of the traditional English worker.
And the answer to that would be a resounding - No!
So why exactly are we supposed to accept it when its the other way around?
If the people from Eastern Europe were all like Dara and held down two jobs - albeit with the occasional eye on here at the same time - then there is absolutely 'no doubt' that they would be integrated fully almost as soon as they got off at the airport. However, I doubt whether Dara even would describe all East Europeans as similarly hardworking. For example we've got a fair number of Albanians and semi-gypsy types of immigrant as well as numerous gangster elements.
This was the point I made to Stevan when talking about the penchant of the previously communist East Europe countries to indulge in the practice of child sex slaves and this can be seen readily and has been reported on in many major cities. Now Stevan took umbrage at that but only because he is so blinkered he cannot accept ANY criticism of East Europe whatsoever. According to him it was a land of milk and honey.
If that really is the case how come they were climbing the Berlin Walls in an effort to escape?
When the Berlin Wall collapsed did all the Western Germans clamber over the ruins in mass exodus to join the East..and if not then why not?

... I just find it funny when people like Stevan get banned. .... Are you sure Stevan was formally banned by the Top Cheese? I thought he left in a fit of ungovernable rage. Not my business, though, but I became quite fond of the s**** s**.

No idea, your on the forum,Mimi.
Someone mentioned one of the regular solar flares they seem to have on there so I went and had a look and Dirk Scorpione was bemoaning the Magyar Mages fate. Hence I got the impression that he jumped before he was pushed.
My god, I actually made that sound exciting. Anyway you'll be glad to hear that this is a quite retreat of solitude in comparison. A sanctuary of quiet contemplation in the crazy world of bamboozling bonkers forums.

I'm going to be even more controversial and claim that Linford Christie almost certainly took some drug to become the champion sprinter he eventually became. To put him in a job in charge of the Olympic runners is another dire example of the lack of scruple and morals in this country. Nothing to do with him being black. I don't think you more controversial. You'll have to try harder. And Christie might disagree with the last statement of yours which I quote. Despite his possible drug-taking (before being eventually caught) and his disordered personal life, where he didn't follow what he preached, I'll give him a little sympathy, though. Because he really didn't get 'nuff respect'. When he didn't win, one paper had as demeaning headline 'Christie fails at last' and the Sun was obsessed with his 'lunch box', not his successes. Not just in competition; he was just about the first UK black to break into the upper levels of athletics (and now the UK is dependent on black athletes), and one of the first of any colour not from the middle/upper classes. Just sometimes he whinged far too much; even too much for some blacks, one black journalist in a magazine aimed at blacks once called him 'a big girl's blouse'.* * where on earth does this expression come from!
