You will be pleased to hear that i have chosen a Lutheran church to belt out my Stille Nacht, Heilige Nacht tomorrow. I am practising warbling at the drop of a hat, and i see the people putting their hands on their ears in appreciation and wonderment. ;D O come all ye faithful, rejoice a King is born.

You can NOT be serious! .. they should get the tree and stick it up their asses. A-s-s-es as in donkeys. Another snippet, A main store in Chicago has took it's traditional Nativity scene, you know the one with the stables and the babe in the manger, down after protests from Atheists. Right on. gus I'm a tad sceptical, Gus. I mean the Yanks aren't ones to bow too much to that kind of PC madness..whether by fundamental religions or fundamental atheists. Its rather sad if its true - I hope not cos its for the kids and they like that stuff.

I thought all the Yanks were Christ mad.
I thought it was the PC liberal mob in Britain who wanted to ban Xmas.

My brother tell me that 86% of Americans are Christians and that around 40% practise it. in other words i suppose they go to church on a regular basis. I have no idea how that compares to Britain but i rather think it makes the Yanks more religious than us. Maybe they will save us ;D

As you know there in Britain you have only to open a newspaper or turn the TV on to see some mention of the USA in various themes, but here I have only seen Britain mentioned once and that was in connection with the Ipswich murders. We are i fear very low on the American totem pole.

There is an enormous amount of wild life here. I have noticed the road kill on the freeways it seems to be mostly largish animals. . There are a large amount of deer and i see men with guns and all the gear in their 4x4 pick ups going out to hunt, one of my nephews is a gun nut and he is out there with them.It seems i have missed the groundhogs and possums they have gone into hibernation They have a porch with bird seed cages and i could sit and watch the beautiful birds that feed there for hours, it is so peaceful.

I'd be interested if the Ipswich murders were reported in China, Russia or dare I say, Cuba for example. Anyway Bono's been be knighted so we can all rest easy - that guys so big headed he's been behaving like Irish Royalty for the last 20 years. Thank the Lord for Shane Mac.Gowan! ..ALTHOUGH SSHHH HE'S ENGLISH ACTUALLY!

Strangely though a much worse country (e.g. human rights) like China with an even bigger size and population is rarely if ever criticised. I wonder why.

I didn't realise there were so many masochists in the world, Gus. www.nationmaster.com/graph/imm_for_pop-immigration-foreign-populationNow where is China or Cuba on the list? CUBAN IMMIGRATION STATS: Net migration rate: 1.57 Refugees: 1,100 Refugees (per capita): 0.0969419 per 1,000 people Refugees > Outflow: 20,000 Refugees > Outflow (per capita): 1.76258 per 1,000 people Seems like far more people want to leave than enter. Why is that?
