I turned into the Man U game but it morphed into 'Casualty' foillowed by the World Diving Olympics (with Ronaldo getting the gold) and finally an advert for chewing gum. And the chewing gum ad was the most exciting of the lot. Hmm..? They forgot to put the words into the bubble. Maybe there wasn't enough room for 'I play for Man U , I fall, I get penalty, innit?

Dean Ashton looking out of the England team AGAIN. What bad luck for that boy ... big big shame ... because his inclusion could've pushed out Gerrard from the 1st team - which would be a boost to the tactical shape of the whole side.
Baldy still doean;t have a plan - you watch him squirm as we come upto Estonia. Terry's on the phone though .... ---------------
Liverpool are on thier way down the slippery slope once again. What a poor performance in Europe already.
Here's justice ... even with Torres, Liverpool are still fundamentally a defending mentality .... give the job to ...Mourinho !!!! :-) He's a natural grinding-win style of Coach. Benitez OUT OUT OUT. !

Liverpool 2 Spurs 2
How lucky was that ? The beautiful young Spurs play stylishly yet again. Gerrard asks for balls ..... hoofs them. the 'Pool just about shake a draw. The tea leaves already say it for the Reds -- no consistent attack other than Hair-Gel Torres.
Do you think Benitez knows that Pennant is on the payroll?
--------------
Baldy wants to book in Monsewer Hernia-Owen for the England games ... if he plays him for longer than 20 minutes, he's nuts. Did Baldy actually note some of the talent (Young?) when he was out scouting on Sunday?
Baldy's going to throw the Russian game down the loo, if he doesn't get a plan together. Perhaps he's thinking of the Lampard-Gerrard 'partnership' aka The Chuckle Brothers, to get him out of trouble....get Johnny Wilkinson in - he can kick straight!

Welll....
Baldy got a 3-0 against Estonia - but I don't think it was because he had a "Big Plan". The performance was so-so throughout and the opposition was small.
I'm thinking of sending a note to Baldy ...one word : "Finishing" He could show it to his attacking creew,
Shaun Wright-Phillips may have scored the only goal that wasn't a fluke ... but he was lucky even in that. For most of the game ( as expected) he was indisciplined in his passing and vision. Although not quite as bad a Neville's idea of crossing a ball ( Why is this man ever allowed in the opponent's half...EVER ?)
And so we come to Captain Gerrard. I would say a lacklustre performance .. but that would indicate that there was some sort of shiny-ness underneath all the grime, waiting to burst out. This was a ceramic plant pot of a performance ... absolutely no chance of any shine whatsoever. After being caught with the ball on numerous occassions, Gerrard then had the embarrassment (late in the game) of a fellow attacker virually giving him a chance at goal ('cos he had to supply El Capitano) Gerrard hoofed it, as expected.
Baldy apparently, now has the "dilemma" of the Gerrrard-Lampard shape to contend with for the Russki match... this "dilemma" is easily solved - bench both of them ! cos they're a bleedin' liability on the bl**dy pitch.
Terry Venables is 87 today ! Barry is the new Jesus

Its hard to judge against poor opposition.
The game against Russia will men from the boys, which doesn't auger well. The only hope is that Russia carry on with their usual East European trick of passing brilliantly but trying to 'walk' the ball home.
That rarely works....best to just close your eyes, kick it in the general direction of the opposite half and then hope for a deflection. England have uniquely mastered the art.

Tonite's The Nite
...But I'm fearful
Somehow, I think we might buggerup bigtime ... or swan away with 4 goals.
There will be no in-between, I fink. I hope Baldy likes Vodka.

DEAR LORD - WHAT IS THIS IGNOMINY ?
Well ... it's taken a day to seep in/out this time. I wasn't that emotional, in actual fact .... it was a very slow, head-styfled-in-a-bag-of-porridge-like experience.
The discussion is WHAT IS THE ROOT OF THIS DISEASE ?
Suggestions - Arguments welcome: 1) Never employ a balding Manager - either hairy, or already bald - nothing in transit though. ?
2) The failure of an England "experience" now preceeds the arrival of a player to the dressing room. We have an endemic psychological problem that is 20 years old ? It is beyond managers and players ?
3) The players have more fun, cash and enjoyment at club level -- the national team is a downer for them, most of the time ?
4) The players look and feel better playing by foreign talent -- they are at only 50% amongst their own ?
5) Success is with the best team, not the best 11 players available ... set up a team that remains essentially the same for 75% of the time ?
6) Always play 4-4-2 no matter what the opposition ?
7) Change to Dutch Total Football ?
8) Request that a top Premier League Manager does a rota as an England Coach ... i.e. O'Neill 3 Games, Wenger 3 games etc. Get dispensation from their clubs ... they keep their club job?
9) Take the major elements all from one club to ensure "sypatico" Start slowly ( e.g. take the whole ManU back 4) and add .... AVilla midfield 4 ,Tottenham attack 2 etc etc. ?
10) Never employ anyone from Liverpool ?
11) Managers must have an IQ >130 ?
One last one .... if anyone says the words: "Sam Allardyce" is it right that they are shot, or hanged?

Failure seems to to be endemic in British sprot.
Football - England crash. R Union - England crash.
Motor Racing - Lewis Hamilton might as well have crashed.
Is there any truth in thee rumour that his car's electrics were programmed under Windows XP?
Snatching defeat from victory seems to be our finest tradition.

Please note ( Dazza) Gerrard did perform for Liverpool at the weekend --- with his foremost new skill ... playing for penalties.
Pleas note 2 Rooney scores 2 in one ManU game ... and narrowly misses 3 from a Pen.
These boys simply DOAN WANNA score for the Nation --- no blame -- they simply can't raise the enthusiasm.

Israile 2 Russia 1 Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky old Baldy bolox - he , and his bunch of pationless money-grubbers get one more chance at playing some grow-up football on Wednesday.
Could be a change for the btter .... Baldy might have to play ... ohh Sir! ....someone who's young, untried and proud to play for his country. Doubt it though. Wheel on Wright-Philips ... dribble;feint;dribble;feint;swing;kick.... and he's converted the try ! There's always FrankL to dig us out ...even from 50metres he can blast one into the floodlights.
Baldy looked haunted in Austria...
