I like the use of netting in the paintings ... he's sort of getting the very beginnings of Hodgkin-type internal spaces. The netting is definitly the best bit.
He's still wavering between commital to pure primitivism and cartoonery and doddling ( McCartney has the same problem)
--------
Pah ... still need more cryptic clues ... is this person a significant guitarist?

No he's a primitive guitarist, certainly moreso than James Blunt! ;D Theres certainly some truth in him copying other styles but then no music is pristine. He tends to gravitate to a certain genre. As i say..he's very prolific. Even Mel has probably heard of him.

Especially on forums, eh Daz? A bit Childish, though.

Since you are so well acquainted, Daz, why is he wearing half a football on his head in the self-portrait?

I thought the lino cut looked like someone my Dad liked : Leon Redbone.
But he's not prolific ...but an excellent fingerboard fiddler.
------------
The lino cut has some competence .... I reckon this boy has been touched (lightly?) by the dirty brush of Art Skool, at some time.

Err.. yes..he gets a cricket helmet, gloves, shinpads, lots of protective equipment and body padding (bullet proof) plus something called 'a box'. He'll need it after giving the answer away!

So its wasn't Jamie Blunt after all...close but no cigar, kip. Not quite the Brian Sewell of the Dazboard yet! I would have thought you'd spot the obvious talent there, although I must admit I only noticed it myself when I came to the woodcuts...which I must say are very well crafted. I almost feel like buying one. Beeter than ex-partenr Tracey Emim of course and Billy was one of the founders of the 'Stuckists'. Not sure who they are but I like them..I just like the word 'Stuckist'. This American tripe was by Mickey Dolenz. Somehow against all odds it makes me want him to return to a career in drumming.

yes .... I dunno where the Blunt swerve came from... I think I must've hit my head on summat ....er... a blunt object maybe.
-------
I knew it was Dolenz and didn't take part ( as admitted to La Mel / Picc) only because he was a "featured" artiste on a site I got some of my worst teasers from. Now I look at it ... I realise his "work" is a mixture of Muscle Beach, L.A. street art (aka Total Tat) and the sound spectrum read-out you would get from a drum head ... so Dolenz obviously doesn't like to stroll too far for his "inspiration".
Some might call it para-piddle (drummer's joke)

Sorry Daz, I thought that was the idea. Thanks for the kit, though. I just hope I won’t have to be carried off in the box. As for stuckists, perhaps the art establishment is on the lookout for yet another new movement, as suggested by Half Man Half Biscuit:- Outside Goldsmith's, coughing up blood, Turner Prize judge cries, "Christ! That's good! "Leave it as it is, it'll get first place - "We'll call it 'A Full Shift at the Coal Face'. "You’re neither a Stuckist nor a Y.B.A "And you're no longer a miner, as of today". Here’s another painting by a (former) rock star:

Is there such an animal?
Is it Eric Burden?

Wow E.D. , that is truly 100% total shiite ...very rare to get something so undiluted. No redeeming feature whatsoever.
With that in mind, one thinks of folk like Chris de Burgh or even Duran Duran ...
