He's gettin' a bit lazy, Tops, isn't he!
What's this world coming to when you can't even rely on superheroes to do their job anymore.

Bleedin' sauce ! Not only have I washed and ironed me cape today ... I've also been out and bought 5 pairs of Odour Eaters for Robin's pixie boots. In between all that ... I've also nipped round and got Tops some b'thday treats ( see other thread) ...and got me highlights re-done, by Monsewer 'Anything for the weekend , Sir' Velocette, our local stylist. So, a fairly packed day, dontcha think ? I bet you only rolled out of bed after 1 p.m. ... and only then, to get another bottle of stout and a bag of twiglets, yer strumpet. Anyways -- here we go ... Musician English "Modern" I dunno what's going on here ... it's anyone's guess. Certainly doesn't lack conviction

What charming Lions! They've obviously been using their 'steer-a-dent' as recommended by thee Panther on Channel 5.
Don't think they'll bother to soil their gnashers on those milque- toast-looking (typical) Christians.

Me neither Tops. But is it a surprise? I mean...look at this shoddy piece of work he handed in after spending all day at his hairdresser’s gossiping and marveling at his new highlights:
Musician English "Modern"
Totally unacceptable!
Where’s the synopsis? The critical analysis? The references (incl. year of publication!)?
Superhero college can’t be up to much.

PICCTURE THIS: "Totally unacceptable!

Patience my dear. patience ... genius takes a little longer that it does to knock up a sausage sandwich and a vodka shandy
Superhero college can’t be up to much. Bollx - i woulda got a distinction if all the questions hadn't been written upside down.
TOPPO: What charming Lions! They are ! imho.
This painting may be about photography. Note the doubling of the Stadium walls and the same repeated in the conjoined Lion heads. Methinks this person buggered about with double exposures in other work ...and enjoyed the effect (as do I), I suspect the little girl on the Mum's arm is also from a photo. Placing the other lion deliberately out-of-frame suggests photographic tendencies ... it's a celebration of thee accident-in-Art.
However ... I find this work naively worrying ... but I also like it , quite a bit. Note the angular hind-quarters to the Lions .. this person has observed them, or photos of them ... and wanted to enhance the strange boney hips Lions in the wild have.
All those drawn heads in the crowd- the artist finds it hard to retreat to the "general".
I like the colouration of this painting. It's always a striking discipline to experiment in white Black and a single colour (or two) Compositionally, it's dynamic and endearing ... with definate nods to Rousseau, of course.
I'm talking myself into this one ... as far as figurative work goes - this is a winner, for me.
Cluettes
Musician english Dead If he were alive today - he'd be very rich Short career

er..... not bad.... but we're talking a bit more substance than that - although the same levels of self-obsession (i'm guessing)

Gotta be Ian Curtis or Freddie Garrity. Or someone similar. Both equally poor dancers!

TOPS: "Freddie Mercury ? I think 'Queen' are still in action "sometimes"
Not Mr Mercury ... if you recall we had Fred awhile back -- he did rather boring non-committal drawings without one ounce of originality or true verve about them ... and then there was Queen:-)
------- GUYLE: "Gotta be Ian Curtis or Freddie Garrity. Or someone similar."
Ian Curtis ... nope, but not a bad throw of thee dice. As he was a singer and an original ... you were close.
Freddie who? ...er...nope
-------- DAZZA: "Richey (?!) from Manic Street Preachers?"
Ooo, the boy's good - .but not good enough. Nope to Richey I thought the Dazzmeister would get this vair quickly ... I know he knows it....
Look at the (rather nice) painting ... are we of sound mind here?
