That first one is awfull (potential first dance at weddings though I s'pose). Second one - not much better, but I can see it could work as a lullaby - ZZzzzzzzzzz Really liked the last one, Pete Droge - "Going Whichever Way" - great harmonies, nice tune. The other 3 songs are v. good too, yep I like this a lot (playing now). Much better than Mr Mullins imo, thanks for the link. Having pronounced upon the worthlessness of being too judgemental...your right about the first one..its ghastly. Sorry..I'm sure some of my choices sound ghastly.. ..I mean Gong isn't exactly to everyones taste is it but its a considerable improvement on er..'Souls Core'.

I'm not keen on 3 chord garage band unless it has a distinctive twist to it..usually a gutteral vocalist with something to say like od Strummer or Childish..girl vocalists sometimes make it more bearable. Otherwise it sounds a bit samey doesn't it. Well I must admit, both LTS and The Prisoners were bands that I saw a lot, knew, and played with, in my youth, so I'm probably a bit partisan (if that's the right word ) Shorty's lead singer, Tony Perfect was a great front man though. Ahhhh, but it makes the world go round. Oh no, that's money isn't it - hmmmph

Nah you got it right - it's definitely music.... Those who think it's money got it wrong.

I've got something by the Prisoners somewhere..I think its called 'Lets Buzz' rather than 'Lets Buzz Off' or as the Landlord said when he'd had enough of the Buzzcocks repeatedly playing on his Juke Box...get that racket off and buzz off! See the Customer is always wrong over here..unlike the USA where you get 'have a nice day' even if your about to start a shooting spree in the Shopping Mall. this one is strictly for cleaning your teeth too..and I hope that all my fans the members do so. www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBU-0osn9AkBut not with Esso.

I didnt bother with the videos here so much but they can be watched presumably. The Raveonettes provide some evidence of a nice mix between female vocals and loud garage rock. sendmedeadflowers.com/Also Lou Reeds best song is further down.

heartachewithhardwork.blogspot.com/Thats okay 'I'll Kill Her' is the song. Have you noticed that no-one can write melodies anymore or is that our ears are more developed nowadays to accept any old tuneless tripe that comes along in the hope that a few random notes stuck together do the trick. Dirk abandoned Jazz during the advent of 'Bebop'. Can't say I blame the Old Cove really..but running into the arms of Val Doonican turns the stomach if you ask me. Fortuantely I've posted him some of my miniature ear trumpets with 'surround sound' modifications and a free pair of 3D spectacles if he ever feels like tuning into MTV.

The Poor Excuses have recently changed their song selection on myspace and have removed my favourite song - ‘Nothing to fear’! How bloddy dare they! Never mind, the rest is still pretty good... www.myspace.com/thepoorexcuses

Thanks for the D Dax link Wivens. Can’t quite see the similarity (yet - will keep trying) but I liked it anyway. Speaking of similarities.... I love this one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4OM_QEtPXcTook me a while to figure out what it reminded me of.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJ7On6dCpgg PS: You are very welcome to the Doc's Femme Fatal. I certainly don't want her ;D Its very listenable stuff but don't you find that Southern Texan soft-rock is a bit removed. I'm not knocking it but it reminds me of what ppl say about Americans..its not 'world music' its almost insular and a bit odd ..like the English guys who wear Stetsons and go to C & W shows.

I hope you haven’t lost any beauty sleep over this vital question, since you’ve obviously been pondering over it for err ‘a while’ (…when did I post that? It must be /weeks/ ago…)
I tell you what the difference is, for me, anyway: If I wore a Stetson and went to C & W shows I’d feel like a prat – all year round. But there is a time ie season for this type of music: summer.

Yeah that’s a good one. But I have to tune it down on a warm ‘outdoor’ evening, since the screeching harpy next door doesn’t take kindly to being disturbed in the ‘late’ hours - after having exhausted herself ‘entertaining’ the entire neighbourhood with shouting at her teenage son all day. The poor kid must be deaf by now. myspace.com/paulcurreri Well...until it gets /really/ late... ;D profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=26524391I suppose we’ll never have a harmonious relationship with our neighbour. She’s one of these peeps you just can’t please....<sigh>
