You will i know forgive me for not posting, but the problem is i am having to share this computer with 10.000 american peace corps workers who are waiting to use this computer in the American library. one is allowed half and hour each day and then you are forced kicking and screaming to vacate the chair. I have never seen so many fur hats in all my life, but it was 20 below when i arrived here and although it is now warmer i can tell you that it has been brass monkey weather. I am in a town about 3 hours drive from Kyev with my lady and i can tell you that i have fell in love with her. more anon. PS it is difficult to type when you have to share the keyboard with cyrillic letters

Hey Gus, welcome back. Long time no see. Fur hats and ... no knickers? Should that not be fur coat ? âñåì ïðèâåò. Êàê æèçíü? hello everybody, how are you. This is a message from my lovely Ukranian lady, and maybe I will come to Ukraine to live with her. You would love it here sandy it is socialism with a healthy dose of corruption mixed in the brew. But in spite of the poverty the people here are the friendliest i have ever met. It is not third world but i would think two and a half world ;D I thought that the GDR was under developed but it is very bad here. My friend teaches English at the local college but not many people speak it here, just Ukranian and Russian. Btw one does not get tired of borscht ;D and I think without vodka the whole county would descend into anarchy. gotta go, my time is almost up. gus

Blads hell I've just had a phone call telling me my blood sugar is slightly raised and I need another blood test to see if I'm on my way to becoming diabetic eeeeeeeeeki! Apparently is a "precautionary" repeat blood test to see if its always 'slightly high'. hmm...no news is good news huh?

See with my luck..I'd give up smoking and then in 20 yrs time they'd gimme a check up and it'd be bad news..err a bit like the bad news already today... Anyone thats my faulty logic anyway..at the moment I have different priorites. ANYONE WANNA BUY A BRAND SPANKING NEW BAKEWELL TART (Mr Kipling!)

You need to eat regular, small meals Billy to keep your blood sugar from dipping and raising swiftly.
Eat all the boring stuff - fruit, vegetables, wholemeal bread, cereal, oatcakes, porridge -as these provide slow-burning and thus more stable blood sugar.
Avoid anything with sugar, fruit juice, mashed potatoes, as these foods cause swift and unstable rises in blood sugar.
In terms of alcohol, it puts blood sugar down swiftly, so drink spirits with full-fat mixers (ie. vodka and coke, NOT diet coke).
Take plenty exercise and you'll be fine.
Diabetes - the disease that makes you behave.

Don't start worrying yet, Daz. Blood sugar can be high without diabetes. All the same, if it turns out not to be diabetes you might be advised by the doctors to cut down on all the nice things. Take no notice.

I'm getting some mixed msgs on this. Apparently before a blood test you are supposed to not eat or drink for several hours prior.
I drank several cups of very sugary coffee - I hope!!
